So, I’ve been away for a while, my best friend was out in Orlando for the PGA Merchandising Conference and I was shipped over to a friend’s house who only has dial-up access… but has a lot of reading material I could paw through, so here’s a few things I picked up over the last couple a days.

L.A., Vegas and Boston, now doggies that like to drink and best friends who like the nightlife have a place to do it all in style. SKYBARk is the brainchild of Brandon Hochman and Ralph Diaz, the inventors of PETaPOTTY, inside “mini-parks” that help best friends potty train puppies and give us some grass to roll around in when our friends are away.

SKYBARk has a fixed location on top of PETaPOTTY’s headquarters on Santa Fe Avenue in L.A. But SKYBARk parties are popping up across the country, every party is also a charitable event, in fact the inaugural event, which took place in March 2006 raised over $4,000 for “New Leash on Life.” Go to to learn about events in your area or how to bring SKYBARk to your hometown.

Just about 8 million dogs wind up in shelters every year and of those about 4 million are “euthanized” (i.e. killed). One of the main reasons we end up in this perdicament is due to “behavioral issues” but whose “behavior issues” is what I ask?

So, I hope that you humans who are considering becoming a pooch’s best friend, know that it’s best to do your research before unleashing what may become one of the most rewarding relationships of your life. If not, read my story, FROM THE STREETS OF NEW YORK and see what happens when a human buys a dog without first considering the amount of time, effort and funds it takes to keep us around.

Get the facts straight before you settle down with a dog. Check out “The Everything Guide to Getting a Dog” by Rosencrans Baldwin, that appeared in the Jan. 15 issue of New York Magazine.

Isle of Dogs has recently launched a new line of personalized dog products— over 16 different shampoos and conditioners. Get your best friend to go to their website and create a profile for you and watch your coat go from dull to pawtastic, in two to three washes. They also have products that detangle, sooth irritated skin and reduce shedding.

I will be launching my “Viscious Circle of Unconditional Love” soon… this will include my Manifesto on Unconditional Love, Pictures of pooches that have already joined (to join send your dossier and photo to, and a line of THUGS4LUV t-shirts and stuff.

    REPENT!! The end is near!!!

This is surely one of the seven signs. These are not dogs, they are living pooping stuffed animals.

Excuse me while I take this bag of poop out of my pocket.

I don’t like this whole thing. Hair dye on dogs. What’s wrong with people?! If you don’t like the color of your hair, dye your own freakin’ hair.

Hey Stitch, do you ever write about some of the real dogs, some of the dog heroes of old? Let’s here about Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, Benji. Heck, even Beethoven.

Yes, when I unleash my Manifesto on Unconditional Love… I plan on barking about some of ther heros of old… Benji is one of my all time favorites!!! I also really like that dog from Fraser!

Staying true to our word, Skybark, your favorite pet-friendly party locale, is still invading New York City and setting off the celebration surrounding Westminster 2009. Amid the torrential economic climate, other events have fallen by the wayside and Skybark stands proud as the unwavering source for pet friendly night life festivities for your Westminster experience. We’re excited, elated and ready to show NYC how we do it Hollywood style.
Brought to you with the help of Doggy Aficionado, Fido Friendly, and Metropolitan Blue Book, Skybark will be in full effect, Friday, February 6th at the Hotel Pennsylvania’s Penn Top Ballroom. We will be rolling out the red carpet for you and your canine companions at 8 PM Sharp and the number of attractions Skybark is bringing on is, to say the least, impressive. The event will benefit Animal Haven, a no kill animal adoption center, shelter and sanctuary for displaced cats and dogs, so even the Tiny Tim’s of the pet world win.
Located adjacent to Madison Square Garden, the prestigious Hotel Pennsylvania is a New York City institution that personifies the city’s style, essence and history. Glenn Miller played there and wrote the famous song and band number entitled “Pennsylvania 6-500,” consequently the Penn’s phone number still reflects the song’s title. It’s tradition for the Hotel Penn to act as a media and social hub for Westminster. No matter where the exhibitors and spectators stay, they converge at the Penn for everything dog related. Skybark will transform the Penn Top Ballroom into the “place to be” for anyone looking to bring their pets, cut loose, and have a great time before the Westminster Dog Show commences. The glamorous ballroom meets the high standards of Skybark and features immaculate views that look upon the Empire State Building and the marquis of Madison Square Garden.
The Hotel has a large lower-level conference room that will be converted into an indoor bio-break facility for the competitors. The facility is referred to as “the Green Room” and PETaPOTTY can be found there helping with the dogs’ potty needs. Judy Davis of First in Line Animal Grooming Products and the veteran host of the Penn’s Green Room Salon, Spa and “Paw Mall’ brought us on and PETaPOTTY is overjoyed to be taking care of the prestigious pets business. The accommodations for Westminster entries have made the Hotel Pennsylvania the Travel Channel’s “#3 Bathroom”. The Hotel draws in a great deal of media coverage. There are always paparazzi scouring the place for great shots and videos of the world’s top dogs. The Hotel Pennsylvania is where all the action is, which makes it perfect for an event like Skybark.
To sweeten the deal, Skybark is bringing on a cast of who’s who in the pet industry. Krista Droop, a professional pet photographer will be on hand snapping shots of your canine companions as they strut down the red carpet. Her photos of you and yours will be framed on site and available to take home. Ada Nieves of Ada Nieves for Dogs is coordinating a canine fashion show featuring a number celebrity dogs that will be honored Oscar’s style by North Shore Animal League of America. If that’s not enough, Annie Germani, pet psychic, will be on hand tapping into your four legged friends’ innermost thoughts and feelings. We will have a guest DJ spinning all night And Skybark will play host to a silent auction to round out what stands to be a truly memorable evening.

Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely
long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m
thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog
writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any recommendations for novice blog writers?
    I’d genuinely appreciate it.
